Another session of the International Damon Master course took place on 6th and 7th October. It was held in Madrid and the group was formed by doctors and orthodontic students from different countries taking part in the 4th module of the course and continuing their specialisation in the Damon technique. The course was delivered with simultaneous translation into English. The next session will be held on 24th and 25th November. 

Our Dr Perera closed the month of September by giving a course at the Colegio Oficial de Médicos (Official Medical School) of A Coruña. In this magnificent land, he shared his experience of the Damon System with all present. In the images, we can see Dr Perera receiving a plaque from Ormco and the Colegio de Médicos of A Coruña and also see him speaking to people during the coffee break.

On Friday 15^th September, Dr Rafael García Espejo (co-director of the Master Damon) gave a course in Madrid at the Colegio Oficial de Odontólogos y Estomatólogos (Official College of Orthodontists and Stomatologists) about the system that has revolutionised modern-day orthodontics: the Damon technique.

On 8^th September Montecarlo hosted the international orthodontics event of the year: Damon Forum 2017. Once more, Dr Perera participated as a speaker. He gave a talk in the main session of the congress, presenting the latest updates to the Damon System and also sharing with the audience his 16 years of experience working with this approach.

Riccione was the location chosen by Compagnia Ortodontica for its second international congress. This was held over the weekend of 23^rd June at the Palazzo dei Congressi. Dr Perera was an invited speaker and gave a course explaining his clinical experience related to the evolution of the Damon System over the last 15 years.

On 27^th May, Alicante hosted a training session organised by Ormco in which Dr García Espejo gave a course on the Damon System. The event took place from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. at the San Juan complex. It was reserved for a limited number of people and included food and coffee breaks. All of those attending the course had the opportunity to gain invaluable, in-depth knowledge about the intricacies of the Damon technique from a recognised expert in its use, Dr Garcia Espejo.

On 9^th and 10^th June, an in-office course allowed a group of Italian doctors to obtain a direct insight into how Dr Perera works in his own clinic. The group travelled to Lleida to attend this session at the Institut d'Ortodòncia of Dr Ramón Perera, a pioneering centre in the use of the Damon System in Europe. After a wonderful course full of curiosities and discoveries, we hope that they returned to "beautiful Italy" with their bags full of learning. “Ci vediamo presto!”

On 12^th May, Dr Perera gave a course on the Damon System in Zaragoza during which those attending had the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the technique and to learn about the finer details of working with self-ligating brackets and the Damon System.
 

He did this on a course presented by Doctor Daniel Aragón which was held at the Official College of Dentists of Aragon. This was a limited-numbers course organised by Ormco in which Dr Perera addressed many questions of interest relating to this revolutionary technique.
