On 17^th March, the Portuguese city of Vila Real was decked out to host the annual scientific meeting of the SPODF (Sociedad Portuguesa de Ortodoncia Dento Facial).

This is an international event which our Dr Perera attended as an invited speaker and explained the latest developments with the Damon System and his 15-year experience of working with it.

On Friday 10^th March, Dr Ramón Perera participated in the 9^th edition of the Barcelona Orthodontic Meeting. This event is held at the College of Odontology of Catalonia and organised by the International University of Catalonia (UIC).

In it, subjects were treated through four roundtable sessions in which each expert offered their own particular vision and answered questions from the table and the public attending the event.

Last February, in Barcelona, the students on the Master’s Degree course in Orthodontics of the Athenea Dental Institute received a visit from Dr Perera. In this Master’s course, which is run by Dr Pablo Echarri (who appears in the accompanying photo), our Dr Perera gave a masterclass on the Damon System. In it, the students had the opportunity to learn the finer details of the techniques involving the use of self-ligating brackets in which Dr Perera specialises.

Norway, Israel, Belgium, Poland, Warsaw... Eurovision? No! Just a new Master Damon session!

On 17^th February, doctors García Espejo and Perera delivered the 2^nd module of the group 27 course. An international group met in Madrid to attend a course whose common language was the Damon System and whose different nationalities found a common connection through the translations provided by the interpreters Ana Villa and Amaya Bravo.

On 10^th February, Dr Perera gave a course in the Master’s Degree in Orthodontics of the European University of Madrid. Over the day Dr Perera provided students studying the second and third years of the Master’s Degree course with updates on a number of concepts related to the Damon technique.

On 28^th and 29^th January, the Faculty of Orthodontics of Casablanca organised its 5^th annual meeting. At this conference, renowned international speakers exchanged knowledge and shared practical skills.

Dr Ramón Perera was one of the speakers at this scientific session on orthodontics and he was the only speaker there from Spain. He started his participation at the Saturday session with a talk entitled "15 years with the Damon System" and finished on Sunday with an all-day post-congress course.

The 3^rd module of the Master course took place in Madrid on 20^th and 21^st January.

The first session of the Master Damon course was held on 13^th and 14^th January. In it, group 25 -which was delivered with simultaneous translation in French- did the 3^rd module of the course. Judging from the photos, it was very productive!
